Home Insulation & Supply is located at 154 Cemetery Road Lancaster NY. Servicing WNY since 1976! We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Helper / Laborer to join our team. As a Helper / Laborer you will play a crucial role in aiding our skilled fiberglass insulation installers on residential and commercial projects. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience. You will assist in installing various types of insulation materials, ensuring that they are properly fitted and installed according to industry standards. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, as you will be working with a variety of tools and materials in diverse environments. You will also have the opportunity to learn about different insulation techniques and products, which can pave the way for advancement opportunities. Standard work week is Monday - Friday 7am -4pm. Based on job locations for the day.
Responsibilities
- Assist insulation installers in measuring, cutting, and fitting insulation materials in various buildings.
- Help prepare work areas by clearing spaces and organizing tools and materials necessary for insulation installation.
- Transport insulation materials to designated locations as directed by the lead installer.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Learn and employ insulation installation techniques according to company and manufacturer specifications.
- Provide support in the clean-up and proper disposal of job site debris and materials post-installation.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of construction procedures and practices is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical tasks over long periods.
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and at different heights.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Effective communication skills to follow instructions and collaborate with team members.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites is strongly preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
