Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install insulation materials according to blueprint specifications and project requirements
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure precise installation
- Use hand tools, power tools, and scaffolding safely to complete insulation tasks efficiently
- Follow safety protocols rigorously to maintain a secure construction site environment
- Climb ladders, scaffolds, and other elevated platforms to access installation areas at various heights
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons, HVAC technicians, and other trades to coordinate installation efforts
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance and adherence to project specifications
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with a focus on insulation installation or related trades such as carpentry or roofing
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Familiarity with construction estimating, basic math skills, and following blueprint specifications
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, ladders, and safety equipment
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems or metal stud framing is a plus
- Strong understanding of safety protocols including power tool safety and ladder use
- Physical ability to climb, lift heavy materials, and work at heights comfortably
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and teamwork coordination
- Knowledge of building codes, insulation types (such as fiberglass or spray foam), and installation techniques
