Part-Time Business Development & Community Relations Specialist
Home Instead | Seacoast New Hampshire
$35/hour | 10 hours/week for November–December 2026 | 20 hours/week beginning January 2027
About Home Instead
Home Instead has been serving the Seacoast New Hampshire community for 24 years, building a strong reputation for trusted, personalized in-home care for older adults and their families.
We are looking for a driven business development professional to help take our Seacoast franchise into its next phase of growth. This is an opportunity to build on an established foundation, expand our community presence, open new doors, strengthen referral partnerships, and help more families discover Home Instead.
The Opportunity
This is a growth-focused, relationship-driven role for someone who enjoys being out in the community, meeting people, creating opportunities, and turning relationships into results.
The primary goal is to generate new business and referral growth across the Seacoast by developing relationships with hospitals, rehabilitation centers, senior living communities, physicians, social workers, case managers, healthcare professionals, senior organizations, and other key community partners.
We are looking for someone who doesn't simply maintain existing relationships, but actively asks:
Where are the opportunities? Who should we know? What relationships can we deepen? And how can we turn those connections into new, consistent growth for Home Instead?
Schedule
November–December 2026: 10 hours/week, ideally Tuesday-Thursday
Beginning January 2027: 20 hours/week
The role is primarily in-person throughout the Seacoast, with administrative work completed remotely. This includes community visits, networking, meetings, follow-up, outreach, event participation, Salesforce tracking, and business development planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Build new referral relationships with healthcare, senior care, rehabilitation, hospital, and community organizations throughout the Seacoast.
- Grow existing partnerships by identifying opportunities to deepen relationships and increase referrals.
- Actively prospect for new organizations, contacts, and sources of business rather than relying solely on existing relationships.
- Develop and execute a strategic community outreach plan focused on measurable growth in inquiries and referrals.
- Represent Home Instead at healthcare meetings, networking events, community events, and other opportunities to create new connections.
- Become a recognizable and trusted face of Home Instead throughout the Seacoast.
- Educate partners on how Home Instead can support their clients, including supplemental 1:1 care that complements existing services and care plans.
- Maintain consistent follow-up with referral partners and move relationships toward meaningful partnerships.
- Track outreach, relationships, referrals, and opportunities in Salesforce and use the data to identify where additional growth is possible.
- Share insights with leadership on new markets, untapped referral opportunities, competitive activity, and strategies to grow the Seacoast business.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in business development, sales, relationship management, community relations, healthcare, or a similar field.
- A strong understanding of, or, connections within the Seacoast New Hampshire healthcare and senior care community is highly preferred.
- Someone who is naturally outgoing, confident, persistent, and comfortable creating relationships from scratch.
- A self-starter who can independently identify opportunities and turn ideas into action.
- Strong networking, communication, presentation, and follow-up skills.
- A growth mindset and motivation to achieve measurable results.
- Comfortable working independently in the community while collaborating with leadership.
- Proficiency with Salesforce, Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout the Seacoast.
Compensation & Schedule
- $35/hour
- 10 hours/week for November and December 2026
- 20 hours/week beginning January 2027
- Flexible combination of community-based and remote administrative work
- Opportunity to help shape the growth strategy of an established 24-year Seacoast franchise
- Supportive leadership, established brand, marketing resources, and strong community reputation
- Opportunity for the role to grow alongside the business
