What are the responsibilities and job description for the First Impression Specialist position at Home Instead?
This position must ensure a welcoming experience for guests as they enter the office. The FIS handles office and administrative duties to allow a consistent full networking effort critical to building the business. The FIS reports directly to the General Manager and works closely with all team members at the branch. As the face of Home Instead in the community, this team member must demonstrate our core value, Love (v.), in all interactions with internal and external customers and staff: patience, kindness, humility, selflessness, respectfulness, forgiveness, honesty and commitment.
This is a Part time position, 20 hours per week, 9a-1 M-F.
- Taking ownership and keeping the front foyer area neat and free of clutter
- Greet and welcome each guest in a friendly, warm, and professional manner
- Answer incoming calls in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner and transfer incoming calls to the appropriate staff member
- Communicate client and Care Professional concerns or problems with other staff members as appropriate
- Assisting with monthly Care Professional events
- Work with the staff and Care Professionals to correct clock in and clock out discrepancies
- Enter and maintain accurate client and Care Professional records in the operating system
- Mail out anniversary cards and make touchpoint phone calls
- May order and stock office/ cafe supplies
- Assist with filing and other support duties as needed
- Maintain regular, predictable attendance
- All other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of related business experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work
- Prior experience as a Care Professional preferred
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in addition to using database programs
- Present a professional appearance and demeanor
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to listen effectively
- Ability to build strong relationships in a warm and compassionate way
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to operate a multiple phone line system
- Must have the ability to organize and prioritize daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly work
- Must have computer skills and be proficient in Word and Excel
