Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one, relationship-based care in the client’s home
- Assist with personal hygiene, mobility, and transfers with professionalism and skill
- Offer companionship and meaningful engagement
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
- Support clients with dementia or memory loss using personalized care plans
- Accurately document tasks and observations
- Communicate effectively with the scheduling and client care teams
- Represent Home Instead’s mission and core values in every interaction
- Identify what a “great day” looks like for your client—and help make it happen
- Must be 18 years or older
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Proof of auto insurance
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
- Physically able to lift, transfer, and perform caregiving tasks
- Dependable attendance and strong communication skills
- High level of skill in personal care and client support
- Experience working with older adults (formal or informal)
- Familiarity with dementia care and mobility assistance
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- CNA, HHA, or Med Tech experience a plus
- $17.00-$19.00 per hour, based on experience
- Paid orientation and ongoing training
- Employer-sponsored health insurance (IHCRA)
