What You’ll Do
As a Home Instead Caregiver, you may assist seniors with:
- Companionship and conversation
- Meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Medication reminders
- Transportation, errands, and appointments
- Personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Mobility and transfer assistance
- Alzheimer’s and dementia care
- Following individual client care plans
- Providing dependable, respectful, and compassionate care
- Communicating changes or concerns to the office team
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation and current auto insurance
- Ability to pass required background checks
- Dependable and able to arrive to scheduled shifts on time
- Reliable phone and ability to communicate with the office
- Ability to safely perform the physical responsibilities of caregiving
- Willingness to assist with personal care when required
- Compassionate, professional, and respectful attitude
- Ability to follow care plans, policies, and safety procedures
