Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support to a client during afternoon hours, Monday through Friday. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities and health management. As a Caregiver, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of your client while fostering a warm and nurturing environment. Duties

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary
• Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA privacy regulations
• Support patients with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or memory care needs through engaging activities and attentive supervision
• Maintain cleanliness of the living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry
• Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance
• Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and facility protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop or update personalized care plans
• Provide emotional support, companionship, and social engagement to promote mental well-being

Qualifications

• Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings preferred
• Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration
• Certification in CPR, First Aid, and HIPAA compliance required or willing to obtain upon hire
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer’s or dementia is highly valued
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting residents with mobility needs
• Strong communication skills with an empathetic approach to caregiving
• Demonstrated ability to follow detailed care plans and adhere to safety protocols
