Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support to a client during afternoon hours, Monday through Friday. Duties
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary
- Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA privacy regulations
- Support patients with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or memory care needs through engaging activities and attentive supervision
- Maintain cleanliness of the living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry
- Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and facility protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop or update personalized care plans
- Provide emotional support, companionship, and social engagement to promote mental well-being
Qualifications
- Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration
- Certification in CPR, First Aid, and HIPAA compliance required or willing to obtain upon hire
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer’s or dementia is highly valued
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting residents with mobility needs
- Strong communication skills with an empathetic approach to caregiving
- Demonstrated ability to follow detailed care plans and adhere to safety protocols
