Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Promote client comfort, safety, and overall well‑being
- Prepare meals and assist with basic meal planning, following dietary needs
- Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe home environment
- Encourage social engagement and accompany clients on outings as appropriate
- Provide medication reminders and complete documentation per care plans
- Safely use mobility equipment (such as Hoyer lifts) when trained
- Observe and report changes in client condition or behavior
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines
Qualifications
- Caregiving or home care experience preferred (paid training provided)
- CPR/First Aid knowledge required (certification a plus)
- Experience with seniors or individuals with disabilities, Alzheimer’s, or dementia preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assist with transfers and perform physical tasks as needed
- Compassionate, reliable, and committed to enhancing quality of life
Minimum Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess a current, valid driver’s license
- Must have reliable transportation (vehicle available for use)
- Must maintain current automobile insurance
Additional Requirements
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and pre‑employment drug screening, in accordance with applicable laws.
