Home Instead is hiring CNA or HCA-certified Caregivers to join our team in an on-call capacity, helping us fulfill our mission: expanding the world’s capacity to care.
This role is ideal for caregivers who are flexible, dependable, and ready to step in to support clients when coverage is needed. As an on-call Care Pro®, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring continuity of care across a variety of clients and situations.
Primary Responsibilities
As a Home Instead Caregiver, you may support clients with:
- Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Safe transfers and mobility support, including use of gait belts and assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts
- Companionship and meaningful conversation
- Light housekeeping and meal preparation
- Medication and appointment reminders
- Alzheimer’s and dementia care
- Hospice support
- Promoting safety, dignity, and overall well-being
- Communicating clearly and compassionately with clients, families, and the office team
What You Need to Apply
- Active HCA or CNA certification (required)
- Hoyer lift experience (required)
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance (preferred)
- A kind, dependable, and patient approach
- Ability to respond to shifts on short notice and adapt to changing schedules
Compensation & Schedule
- $21.30–$32.00/hour depending on shift
- On-call role with flexible scheduling based on availability
- Caregivers in this role are expected to pick up a minimum of 4 shifts per week to remain active in on-call status
- Opportunities to pick up additional hours
- Paid training and 24/7 office support
