HOME, Inc. empowers neighbors to overcome barriers to safe, stable, and affordable housing through education, housing counseling, neighborhood revitalization, and affordable housing development.

Position Summary

The Housing Counseling Team Lead provides hands-on leadership and operational oversight for HOME, Inc.’s housing counseling programs while also delivering direct housing counseling services. Approximately 25% of work time is dedicated to direct client counseling, with remaining time focused on staff supervision, scheduling coordination, and quality assurance.

Essential Functions

• Provide supervision and coaching to housing counseling staff.
• Coordinate on-call counselor schedules and group education schedules.
• Maintain and update group education workshop content and materials.
• Provide direct HUD-compliant housing counseling services.
• Support program compliance, reporting, and quality assurance.
• Identify workflow challenges and recommend improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services-related field or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of housing counseling or affordable housing experience.
• 1–2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• HUD Housing Counselor Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Compensation & Benefits

Full-time (37 hours/week), hybrid eligible. Compensation commensurate with experience. Medical, dental, vision, optional benefits eligibility after 30 days, and 401(k) eligibility after 3 months.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
