Job Summary
o joWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Specialist tin our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral therapy and experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities and autism. This role involves providing direct support to individuals, implementing behavioral interventions, and conducting assessments to enhance the quality of life for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on assessment data.
  • Collect and analyze data on client behaviors to track progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
  • Provide direct patient care, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for individuals with disabilities.
  • Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to create comprehensive support strategies.
  • Utilize applied behavior analysis techniques to promote positive behavior changes in clients.
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in special education and behavioral health.

Skills

  • Proficiency in behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis.
  • Experience working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism.
  • Strong skills in data collection, patient assessment, and medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of special education practices and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and colleagues.
