What Happens When the Things Someone Has Done Their Entire Life Suddenly Become Difficult?
Getting dressed.
Making lunch.
Taking a shower.
Putting away groceries.
Getting ready for bed.
For most of us, these aren't accomplishments. They're simply parts of the day.
Until an illness, injury, hospitalization, stroke, or functional decline makes them difficult.
Then suddenly, everyday tasks become things someone else has to help with.
That's where Occupational Therapy can change the trajectory.
Home Health Care, Inc. is hiring Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to provide one-on-one therapy throughout Winnebago, Blue Earth, Wells, Minnesota Lake, Delavan, Frost, and surrounding communities.
Help Patients Do More for Themselves
There's a major difference between completing a task for someone and helping them regain the ability to do it themselves.
As a COTA, that's where you can make an impact.
Under the direction of an OTR/L, you'll work directly with patients on the skills, strategies, strength, coordination, and adaptations that make everyday activities possible.
For one patient, success might mean getting dressed without their spouse's help.
For another, it could mean safely preparing a simple meal.
Someone else may need to relearn how to complete their morning routine after a stroke or figure out a safer way to navigate daily activities after returning home from the hospital.

Help Patients Keep Everyday Life in Their Own Hands
Occupational Therapy doesn't always produce the kind of progress that looks dramatic from the outside.
But when someone can dress themselves again, prepare their own food, safely complete their morning routine, or rely a little less on their caregiver, the impact can be enormous.
As a COTA with Home Health Care, Inc., you'll help patients throughout the Winnebago and Blue Earth area regain those pieces of everyday independence while earning $82,000-$110,000 annually with Full-Time or Part-Time opportunities and no weekends or holidays.
