Physical Therapist - Home Health Care - City of Detroit - 24 Hours/Week - Day Shift
Location: City of Detroit
Schedule: 24 hours per week, Day shift
On-Call Requirements: Minimum of one weekend per month, plus one summer holiday and one winter holiday
Eligible for part-time benefits
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under general supervision of the therapy supervisor implements medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs, (e.g., heat water, exercise, etc.) directed towards relieving pain and/or restoring physical functions to rehabilitative clients.
EDUCATION:
A specific level of technical knowledge and the applications of various treatment interventions in order to relieve pain and/or restore a physiological function.
- This level of knowledge is generally obtained through the completion of an accredited bachelor's level program in Physical Therapy.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Current State of Michigan Licensure in order to practice as a registered physical therapist.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- The ability to lift and position clients and to perform treatment modalities.
- A high level of interpersonal skill is required to effectively interface with clients and physicians.
- Must possess a current State of Michigan driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
- Must have reliable transportation and a telephone.
