Operate asphalt lute and compaction equipment and transport machinery to job sites, material pick ups etc. Key role in paving production.

Responsibilities

• Assist paving crew in excavation and installation of new asphalt driveways and parking lots
• Lute asphalt to create smooth and consistent surface
• Willingness to learn to operate pavers, rollers, compactors
• Grade, rake, finish asphalt
• Coordinate deliveries/pickups
• Maintain daily paperwork
• Customer communication
• Snow Removal in Winter. This may include overnight, early mornings, and extended shifts during snow events.

Qualifications

• 2 or more years of asphalt paving experience
• High School Education, minimum of 2 years of asphalt paving or related field experience would be preferred
• Math and measuring skills
• Experience driving a pickup truck/trailer combo is required.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License with a clean driving record
• Active Class A or B CDL required
• Background check upon conditional offer of employment
• Smartphone/data device capability for field communication
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions

Pay & Benefits

• Full-time, W-2 year-round employment with snow work in the winter
• Pay: $28 to $35/hr, based on experience
• Overtime
• Paid Vacation - 80 hours annually, with an additional 8 hours at 1 year of employment. (maxing at 120 hours after 5 years)
• Unpaid Vacation - 80 hours annually
• Paid Sick time - 24 hours annually
• Health Insurance Reimbursement - one-half of the monthly cost up to $150
• 401K Match - 100% match on the first 3%, 0.5% on the next 2% contributed for a total of 4% match on 5% contribution
• Paid Holidays - New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve day
• Employee Referral Bonus Program
• Uniform Program - covers 50% of the weekly rental cost (employee contribution is optional and not required for the job)
