This role supports food preparation, order handling, dining-area maintenance, supply restocking, and coordination between kitchen and front-of-house team members. The ideal candidate is a reliable team player who maintains cleanliness, follows food safety procedures, and helps ensure efficient service.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide courteous assistance when needed.
- Support daily restaurant operations and help maintain smooth service.
- Assist with basic food preparation, portioning, plating, and packaging as assigned.
- Help assemble food orders and check items for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with delivering food and beverages to guests when needed.
- Coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house team members to support timely order fulfillment.
- Maintain clean and organized food preparation areas, counters, dining spaces, and service stations.
- Clear and reset tables to keep the dining area ready for guests.
- Clean and sanitize utensils, equipment, and work surfaces according to established procedures.
- Restock ingredients, beverages, napkins, utensils, packaging, and other service supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to supervisors.
- Follow food handling, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
- Store food and supplies according to applicable food safety guidelines.
- Handle restaurant equipment, food products, and supplies carefully.
- Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing deliveries as assigned.
- Help maintain accurate order flow and communicate special requests to the appropriate team members.
- Report equipment concerns, supply shortages, and service issues to supervisors.
- Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general restaurant duties.
- Support coworkers during busy service periods and help maintain efficient operations.
- Perform other restaurant support and service duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, food service, kitchen, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
