Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and driven Director of Web Development to lead our

digital development strategy and execution. This senior leadership role is responsible

for overseeing the architecture, development, and continuous optimization of all web

properties — from lead generation landing pages to customer portals and internal tools.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, IT, and Operations to

ensure our web ecosystem drives measurable business results.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

 Define and execute the web development roadmap aligned with company growth

objectives

 Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of front-end, back-end, and

full-stack developers

 Establish development best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance

processes

 Partner with the CGO and senior marketing leadership to prioritize digital

initiatives

Web Development & Architecture

 Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of all company websites,

microsites, and landing pages

 Lead the selection and implementation of CMS platforms, web frameworks, and

third-party integrations (CRM, scheduling, quoting tools, etc.)

 Ensure scalable, secure, and high-performance web architecture across all

properties

 Manage integrations with HubSpot, Google Tag Manager, and other home

services-specific software

Performance & Optimization

 Drive conversion rate optimization (CRO) initiatives across all digital touchpoints

to maximize lead generation

 Establish and monitor KPIs including page speed, uptime, Core Web Vitals, and

conversion metrics

 Oversee A/B testing frameworks and data-driven iteration cycles

 Ensure all web properties are SEO-optimized and compliant with accessibility

standards (WCAG 2.1)

 Lead Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategy to ensure Home Genius

Exteriors is prominently surfaced in AI-powered search results (Google AI

Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Bing Copilot, and emerging AI agents)

 Implement structured data, schema markup, and entity optimization to maximize

brand visibility and citation in AI-generated answers

 Stay ahead of evolving AI search behavior and adjust web content architecture,

internal linking, and authority-building strategies accordingly

Operations & Compliance

 Manage web hosting infrastructure, domain portfolio, and disaster recovery

protocols

 Ensure data privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA) and maintain robust

cybersecurity standards

 Manage vendor relationships, agency partnerships, and software licensing

 Oversee the web development budget and resource allocation

Qualifications

Required

 8 years of progressive web development experience, with at least 3 years in a

leadership or director-level role

 Proven expertise in front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React or

Vue.js) and back-end development (Node.js, PHP, Python, or similar)

 Experience managing and optimizing CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow, or

similar)

 Deep understanding of SEO best practices, web analytics (GA4, Google Search

Console), and CRO methodologies

 Strong project management skills with experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies

 Demonstrated ability to lead distributed development teams and manage multiple

projects simultaneously

 Excellent communication skills — able to translate technical concepts for non-

technical stakeholders

Preferred

 Experience in the home services, home improvement, or contractor industry

 Familiarity with lead generation ecosystems and marketing technology stacks

 Experience with headless CMS architecture, API development, or Progressive

Web Apps (PWAs)

 Knowledge of paid media tracking, call tracking integrations, and multi-touch

attribution

 Experience with Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) — optimizing web

content for visibility in AI-powered search experiences including Google AI

Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Bing Copilot

 Familiarity with structured data, schema markup, and entity-based SEO

strategies that improve brand presence in AI-generated answers and large

language model (LLM) citations

 Understanding of how AI search algorithms surface local and home services

content, and the ability to develop content and technical strategies that align with

these emerging discovery channels

Salary : $120,000 - $135,000
