What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President/Compliance Officer (Las Cruces) position at Home - First American Bank?
Summary: Perform a broad spectrum of duties to ensure the bank's compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as federal laws and regulations as they pertain to products and services, regulatory changes, lending & other consumer compliance areas.
Responsibilities: Ensure bank processes and procedures are compliant with federal statutes, regulations and interpretations focusing on BSA/AML, ID Theft, OFAC, Red Flags and the USA Patriot Act. Research and respond to consumer complaints and compliance related questions. Develop and modify policies and procedures as required. Provide training to the staff as needed to comply with regulatory requirements. Prepare reports for Compliance Audit Committee and Board Audit Committee.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED is required. Five years if experience in banking or a regulatory environment.
Must be able to pass credit, background and reference checks.
Preferred Requirements: Bachelors degree in Business Administration and 10 years experience in banking or compliance environment. Familiarity with Federal Consumer Compliance Regulations.
