Red Rock Pharmacy is a closed-door, long-term-care pharmacy. Started in 2013 in downtown Salt Lake City, we have since grown to 7 locations in 4 different states and are just one branch under the family of health care companies that comprise Home Caregivers Partnership LLC (HCP). We are looking for a hard-working, organized, problem-solving pharmacist with great attention to detail. Experience in long-term care pharmacy is preferred, but not required so long as the applicant is willing to learn. 

Responsibilities:

The Pharmacist must have an active, state-issued Pharmacist License. 

A Pharmacist's primary responsibility is to ensure patients receive safe and appropriate medication. Pharmacists fill prescriptions based on the information and dosage provided by the doctor. Pharmacists must ensure that the dosage is correct for the patient and their condition. The responsible pharmacist shall retain all professional and personal responsibility for any assisted tasks performed by personnel under his or her responsibility. Pharmacists may also be responsible for managing technicians and other staff and is an educator and drug information resource. Our Pharmacists are compassionate, courteous, and have excellent interpersonal skills.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Expert use and safety of medications dispensed.
• Work alongside physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, interns, and ancillary staff.
• Help with filling, dispensing, labeling, and packaging of medication.
• Perform the final check on all medication.
• Manage inventory and profitability. (Invoicing purchasing, labor, etc.)
• Protect health information (HIPPA).
• Prevent fraud, waste, and abuse.
• Prepare sterile solutions according to USP 797.
• Prepare Enteral feeding and nutrition.
• Prepare computer-generated forms and reports.
• Maintain the legal aspects of pharmacy practice and regulations.
