We are seeking a passionate Supportive Caregiver/CNA to join our dynamic team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients. In this role, you will provide essential personal and supportive care services, assist with daily activities, and promote independence and well-being. Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor patients’ health by observing vital signs, medication administration, and overall condition, ensuring adherence to care plans
- Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and nutrition needs while maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Document patient observations accurately and update care plans regularly to reflect changing needs
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a hygienic living space
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy at all times
Skills
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments
- Strong patient observation skills with the ability to recognize changes in condition or behavior
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or intellectual disabilities
- Proficiency in medication administration, vital signs monitoring, CPR/First Aid certification
- Ability to assist with manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and the use of assistive devices like Hoyer lifts
- Experience supporting residents with complex needs such as hospice or palliative care
- Excellent communication skills for working collaboratively with team members and families while adhering to HIPAA regulations
