**Job Overview for Caregiver (12-Hour Shifts)**
As a caregiver working 12-hour shifts, you will play a crucial role in providing professional and compassionate support to individuals who require assistance with daily living activities. Your focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for clients while ensuring their safety and comfort.

_ $22 to $25 per hour, with overtime after 8 hours for our 12 hour shifts._
What you’ll do
1. **Personal Care Assistance:** Help clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
2. **Medication Management:** Assist clients with medication reminders, ensuring they follow their prescribed medication schedule.
3. **Meal Preparation:** Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences, assisting with feeding if necessary.
4. **Mobility Support:** Aid clients in moving around their home or outside, using mobility aids when needed, and ensuring safety for fall prevention.
5. **Companionship:** Provide emotional support and companionship, engaging clients in conversation and recreational activities to promote mental well-being.
6. **Light Housekeeping:** Perform light household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping to maintain a safe and pleasant living environment.
7. **Communication:** Stay in contact with family members and healthcare providers to keep them informed about the client's health and any changes in condition.
8. **Documentation:** Maintain accurate records of care given and report any concerns or changes in the client’s condition.
Basic qualifications
- Experience in caregiving or direct support roles within senior care or home health environments.
- CPR Certification or willingness to obtain after hire, company will reimburse.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with clients and their families.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable demeanor.
- Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting or moving clients.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience in group homes or nursing facilities, particularly with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
- Familiarity with hospice care practices and long-term care experience is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in patient observation, monitoring, and documentation of care activities.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for resident assistance.
