What You'll Do
As our Culinary Services Manager, you will:
Lead Our Culinary Program
- Oversee all kitchen operations and daily meal preparation
- Create appealing, nutritious menus tailored to residents' needs
- Prepare and coordinate meals for holidays and special events
- Support cooks and kitchen staff
Ensure Dietary Excellence
- Follow physician-ordered and nutritionist-recommended dietary guidelines
- Accommodate special diets including diabetic, low-sodium, texture-modified, and allergy-sensitive meals
- Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
Maintain SafetyCompliance
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local health regulations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
- Monitor proper food storage, handling, and sanitation standards
Manage BudgetPurchasing
- Oversee food ordering and inventory management
- Operate within a designated culinary budget
- Ensure responsible and compliant purchasing practices
What We're Looking For
- Prior experience in food service management (senior living or healthcare preferred)
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Experience with menu planning, food purchasing, and budgeting
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and modified diets
- Formal culinary education preferred
- A genuine passion for serving the elderly and physically disabled population
- Ability to remain calm, flexible, and professional in a fast-paced environment
