DAY TO DAY AS A CHIEF MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
As a member of our hotel's staff, you can expect to work 8-hour shifts Monday - Friday. Occasional weekends and overtime may be required.
When you become a Chief Maintenance Technician with our hospitality team, your day starts with a routine check of the physical facilities, ensuring everything is in top shape through preventive, corrective, and repair maintenance. You are a dependable leader with strong technical skills. You swiftly prioritize and complete daily work orders, keeping guest satisfaction at its peak. Always on-call, you're the go-to for any building issues, ensuring smooth operations 24/7.
You oversee the hotel's comprehensive preventative maintenance program, including guestroom repairs, HVAC, pool systems, fire systems, plumbing, electrical, and key systems. Your daily tasks ensure pool chemistry and temperature meet health department standards.
Safety and security are paramount; you maintain the grounds, keep the landscaping neat, and handle snow removal to ensure safe walkways and parking lots. Each day brings new challenges, and you tackle them all, ensuring the hotel remains a welcoming, efficient, and safe environment.
REQUIREMENTS FOR A CHIEF MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
- 3 years of hotel maintenance experience
- Experience with pool maintenance is a must
- A strong leadership skill set
- Ability to stay calm and solution-focused in a fast-moving environment
