We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Body Shop Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in repairing and restoring damaged vehicle bodies and frames to their original condition and specifications. - Collision Repair: Repair, replace, and adjust vehicle body parts, including fenders, bumpers, doors, and panels, according to manufacturer standards and repair estimates.
- Structural and Frame Repair: Perform frame straightening and structural repairs using specialized equipment to ensure the vehicle's integrity is restored to pre-accident condition.
- Refinishing and Detailing: Prepare vehicle surfaces for refinishing by sanding, grinding, and applying body filler to ensure a smooth, flawless finish.
- Diagnostics and Inspection: Inspect vehicles to identify and assess damage, and perform quality checks on all completed repairs.
- Parts Management: Coordinate with the parts department to ensure all necessary components are ordered accurately and received in a timely manner.
- Safety and Maintenance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communication and Teamwork: Effectively communicate with management, estimators, and other team members to ensure a smooth workflow. Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with clients.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Proven experience as an Auto Body or Collision Repair Technician.
- Solid knowledge of auto body repair techniques and equipment.
- Familiarity with manufacturer repair processes.
- Proficiency in using a wide range of tools, including welders and frame-straightening equipment.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
