Guidance Clerk (Dean Tech)

JOB DUTIES:

• Maintains a regular filing system
• Screens phone calls; answers inquiries of a routing nature for parents or other callers
• Places and receives telephone calls, and records messages
• Maintains a schedule of appointments and makes arrangements for conferences and interviews
• Welcomes visitors and arranges for their comfort and screens unexpected callers in accordance with a predetermined policy
• Obtains, gathers, and organizes pertinent data as needed and puts it into usable form and maintains this data as required
• Types and files correspondence, notices as well as reports, memoranda, and other documents
• Answers general public inquiries
• Processes all documentation for student withdrawals, school transfers, and other related documentation
• Performs other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED Certificate
• Excellent general office skills
• Type a minimum of 40 words per minute
• Documented, successful (3) years of secretarial experience
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of computers and word processing
• Bilingual encouraged to apply
