  • Recruits, hires, trains, schedules, and evaluates peers for on-campus and virtual delivery, sustaining CRLA tutor certification standards in collaboration with CAPS leadership.
  • Coordinates the Math Learning Coach (MLC) Program in full—hiring, training, and supervising MLC tutors; developing student competencies in study strategies, critical thinking, and math anxiety reduction; and maintaining student-coach matching protocols with ongoing engagement monitoring and intervention consultation.
  • Serves as primary coordinator of the Supplemental Instruction (SI) Program, overseeing recruitment, implementation, and evaluation; correspond with deans and associate deans regarding guidelines and request forms; and supervise an Assistant SI Coordinator for weekly Leader support and documentation.
  • Hires, trains, and debriefs SI Leaders, monitoring session quality and student engagement, developing and revising instructional materials, and partnering with OIESA to maintain an electronic SI tracking and reporting system; expand SI offerings within developmental coursework alongside the Perkins Coordinator and departmental liaisons.
  • Collaborates with faculty, chairs, deans, and coordinators to design supplemental instruction and mentoring models that advance STEM student success, and offer workshops and consultations for TRIO, El Centro, OSDDS, and Gateway to College.
  • Monitors the Math Center’s annual operating budget, conducting monthly expenditure reviews and recommending timely adjustments to the Director as needed.
  • Contributes to the annual CAPS AES Report and CAPS Self-Study through data analysis and programmatic recommendations, maintaining accurate records of student interactions, metrics, and service utilization to inform that analysis.
  • Partners with departments including Gateway to College, Marketing, Enrollment Services, and Academic Affairs to strengthen institutional awareness of CAPS programs and cross-departmental referral pathways.
  • Collaborates with CAPS leadership on fall and spring Training & Orientation and serve on search committees, college-wide committees, and institutional initiatives, including the STEM Division, Title III Grant Initiatives, the Integrative Learning Committee, and Professional Development, Assessment, and Accepted Students Days, along with other duties as mutually agreed upon.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
