Event Duties: facility cleaning, set up/break down inventory, supervise event
EVENT SET UP AND BREAKDOWN PER SCHEMATIC
- Set up and/or break down banquet rooms with tables, chairs, stage, dancefloor, per specifications outlined by the floor plan. This may include moving furniture, vacuuming the floor, and resetting the room.
- Meet with floorplan coordinator to discuss upcoming event specifics, and review floorplans for meeting and event rooms.
- Proper care, movement, storage of all equipment such as specialty tables, chairs, risers, dance floor, linens, and lecterns, is required.
- During events, duties include attending to client's needs.
- Be flexible to changes in room set-ups at the last minute.
- Bag all linens that belong to Holy Trinity and place them in a clear plastic bag and in the laundry bin.
- Be sure the bathrooms are stocked for the event.
- Keep service corridors, event space, and storage areas clean and organized
- Responsible for maintaining a consistent and regular attendance record.
- Knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.
- Make sure that the building is secured after each event.
- Lights are turned off and building alarms are activated.
Custodial Duties include:
- Responsible for keeping the complex clean inside and outside.
- Must report daily to the Director of Special Events for daily updates.
- Church bathrooms need to be done each week. (More often during Holy services)
- Church windows need to be cleaned on a monthly basis.
- Classrooms need to be vacuumed once a week. Trash removed and restrooms completely cleaned. Restock bathrooms with paper products and refill soap. Sweep and mop floors and dust and clean all flat surfaces & windows.
- Front offices need to be vacuumed once a week. Trash removed and restrooms completely cleaned. Restock bathrooms. Restock bathrooms with paper products and refill soap. Sweep and mop floors and dust and clean all flat surfaces & windows.
- The complex grounds need to be kept clean at all times, including pressure washing.
- Order and stock janitorial supplies.
- Must be available to work during special church events: Greek Festival, Tables Extraordinaire Event and Greek Orthodox Holy Week.
- Kitchen appliances need to be cleaned regularly.
- All air vents need to be wiped and cleaned quarterly.
- Light bulbs need to be replaced immediately.
- Drinking fountains need to be cleaned and wiped with stainless steel cleaner.
Qualifications/Experience:
Prior banquet set-up experience a plus; must be able to lift/push/pull and carry up to 100 pounds; must be able to stand and walk for an entire shift; good communication skills both written and verbal; able to work a flexible schedule including evenings; weekends and some holidays.
