Holy Trinity Elementary in West Point, Iowa is looking for a full-time dependable and hardworking Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for students, staff, and visitors. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and buff floors as needed
- Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly
- Refill supplies in restrooms (soap, paper towels, toilet paper)
- Wash windows, walls, and other surfaces as required
- Assist in the setup and teardown of furniture or equipment for school events
- Report any maintenance issues (leaks, broken fixtures, safety hazards) to the appropriate personnel
- Lock and unlock doors and secure buildings after hours
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines
Position Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous janitorial or custodial experience is a plus
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
Must pass a background check in accordance with school policies
Pay commensurate with experience.
