Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Elementary Art Teacher located in Bowie, Maryland. The Elementary Art Teacher will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, delivering art instruction aligned with the curriculum, and fostering creativity among students through various art forms, including painting. The teacher will create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student creativity and personal growth. Additionally, the teacher will collaborate with colleagues to ensure the delivery of a high-quality educational experience.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development for elementary art education
- Proficiency in Teaching and Art Education with a passion for inspiring creativity in students
- Strong skills in artistic techniques such as Painting and related media
- Ability to create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment
- Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Teaching certification or licensure appropriate to the grade levels
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Previous experience in teaching art to elementary-aged students is highly desirable
