Human Resources Summer Intern

Holy Innocents' Episcopal School is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Summer Intern to support the HR team during the summer months. This internship provides hands-on experience in core human resources functions within an educational environment. The intern will assist with onboarding new hires, employee benefits support, and employee relations initiatives while gaining practical exposure to HR operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with onboarding processes for new hires, including preparing materials, coordinating orientation schedules, and ensuring completion of required documentation

• Support HR staff with employee benefits administration, including organizing information, answering basic inquiries, and maintaining records

• Help coordinate employee relations initiatives, events, and communications that support a positive workplace culture

• Maintain accurate and confidential HR files and records

• Provide administrative support for HR projects and day-to-day operations

• Assist with data entry, tracking onboarding progress, and updating internal HR systems

• Collaborate with HR team members on process improvements and seasonal HR needs

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools

• Interest in human resources within an educational or nonprofit environment preferred
