Custodian

Overview:

Holy Family Catholic Community is looking for a part-time custodian to help keep our campus clean, safe, and ready for the services, events, and gatherings that happen here throughout the week. This is an evening role, which makes it a good fit if you want steady part-time hours that work around a daytime schedule.

Most of the shift is independent. You'll check in with your supervisor in the afternoon, then work through your evening tasks on your own. You'll see the results of your work every night before you leave, and the staff and parishioners here don't take it for granted.

What you'll do (responsibilities):

• General cleaning: vacuuming, dusting, windows, and restrooms
• Event setup: arranging tables, chairs, and equipment for meetings and parish events
• Building security: following written lock-up and opening procedures, including arming and disarming the alarm
• Seasonal help: occasional light snow removal, salting walkways, or spraying weeds
• Reading and logging tasks in a simple digital work order system
• Greeting visitors and answering basic questions or directing them where they need to go

What we're looking for (qualifications):

• Reliable and punctual, comfortable working with minimal supervision
• Works well on your own and alongside the facilities team
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs and handle light physical work
• Able to read written work orders and communicate clearly with staff and visitors
• Respectful in interactions with staff, students, and parishioners
• Experience with basic power tools or commercial cleaning equipment is a plus, but not required

Shifts:(8-12 hours per week)

• One to two weeknight evenings
• One weekend shift per week to support weekend activities
• Specific days and times vary depending on church and event schedule

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19 per hour, commensurate with experience
Expected hours: 8-12 hours per week; Including one weekend shift per week
