Role Description The 6th–8th Math & Science Teacher is a full-time position responsible for teaching middle school math and science courses in alignment with school standards and curriculum. The teacher designs and delivers engaging lessons, facilitates hands-on activities and lab experiences, and differentiates instruction to support a range of learning needs. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, assessing student progress, maintaining accurate records, and providing timely feedback. The teacher collaborates with colleagues and families, participates in faculty meetings and professional development, and contributes to a positive, respectful classroom environment that supports students’ academic and spiritual growth.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong subject-matter expertise in Mathematics and Science Education.
- Candidates should be a Certified Texas Teacher with experience in middle grades (6th–8th) or working towards certification.
- Candidates should possess Lesson Planning skills and the ability to design standards-based, engaging instruction.
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field; advanced degree and/or teaching credential or certification are preferred.
- Experience teaching middle school students in math and science, ideally in a Catholic or values-based school setting.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills, with a commitment to inclusive and equitable practices.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and support the school’s mission and community values.
