What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Adjustment Counselor position at Holy Family Academy?
The St. Paul Consortium of Catholic Schools, including St. Bernard's Elementary School and Holy Family Academy, are collaborating to support students' social/emotional needs. The Consortium is looking for a part-time school adjustment counselor to serve as an additional Social Emotional Student Support Team member.
The School Adjustment Counselor monitors students' social, emotional, and behavioral progress and provides intervention, prevention, and referrals as needed. This position must collaborate with the faculty and staff to support student needs. The counselor will participate in the student support services review process, advocate for students' needs, and recommend and implement support plans for students such as behavior intervention plans, program/activity referrals, and support the transition of students from grade to grade or school to school. The counselor will also conduct, consult, and collaborate on school activities that support students' well-being. This position reports to a clinical supervisor and the school's principal regarding student needs. The needs of this position are 2-3 days per week, and the selected candidate may support students at any one of the schools within the Consortium. The schools are located in Gardner and Fitchburg.
