What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director-Training and Professional Growth position at Holy Cross Services Inc?
Participates in agency-wide strategic planning and sets annual training goals for the agency, Departments, and teams
Develops on-boarding training curricula compliant with relevant contracts, licensing requirements, accreditation standards and other agency obligations
Creates content for trainings, including conducting research and partnering with subject matter experts to inform high quality trainings
Ensures all instruction across the agency is measured for its effectiveness
Develops systems for professional growth for personnel across the agency
Develops and manages the Relias Learning Management System
Works with supervisors to ensure required MISACWIS training is completed timely.
Develops partnerships with education and professional development entities to promote on-going personnel learning
Monitors personnel training records and ensures teams receive the necessary reports and tools to maintain training compliance in accordance with their program contracts, licensing, or other obligations
Maintains personnel training records
Develops, implements, and manages a system for capturing and regularly reporting accurate training information for all personnel
Provides consultation and support to ensure accurate and timely training records are available for both internal and external audits
Directly conducts trainings, both routinely (e.g. new hire orientation) and ad-hoc when needs are identified
Obtains necessary certifications to provide instruction on relevant interventions
Develops and manages the training budget, including reviewing and approving all expenses in accordance with the agencys financial best practices
Facilitates external training and staff train-the-trainer certification to strengthen the agencys capacity to internally train a growing workforce
Partners with agency leadership to develop programmatic succession plans and professional development benchmarks
Maintains subject matter expertise in educational/instruction best practices for both in-person and virtual instruction for adult learners
Travels to agency sites across the state to conduct training and identify training needs as needed
Partners with agency personnel at all levels to identify employee training needs and solutions
Performs other duties related to the essential duties of the position and within the individuals capabilities as assigned by ones supervisor.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Human Services- or Education-related fields
5 years of experience in personnel training and supervision, preferably within Child Welfare or Homelessness Services fields
2 years of experience developing trainings and/or curricula required
Experience within Child Welfare or Homelessness Services strongly preferred
Lived experience in child welfare or homelessness strongly preferred
