Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.

Job Title: Environmental Services Supervisor
Employment Type: Full Time

Position Purpose
- The Environmental Services Supervisor performs supervision and coordination of housekeeping responsibilities for the hospital’s Environmental Services Department.
- Is responsible for the oversight and coordination of the day-to-day operations of the department
- Provides direct leadership and guidance to staff to ensure that high level of cleanliness, quality and service is achieved and maintained.
- Monitors patient satisfaction and daily operations of patient, non-patient, and public areas to ensure compliance with departments quality standards and regulatory requirements including TJC compliance.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and transmit complicated detailed instructions in writing and orally.
- Basic computer skills required: email (communicate – send and receive), review schedules, policies and procedures, employee engagement surveys.
- Must be able to maintain knowledge of chemicals used for cleaning and disinfecting (on-the-job training provided).
- Demonstrates compliance with hospital and department safety policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of using personal protective equipment, able to work around blood borne pathogens, blood, and body fluids.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) as well as the hospital Bed Management system (i.e. Teletracking system)
- Two (2) years relevant EVS healthcare experience as a Supervisor/Lead at a similar sized healthcare institution in housekeeping discipline preferred.
