Typical Schedule: This is a part-time faculty position to begin Spring 2027.
Purpose: The Adjunct Instructor of Computer Science is a part-time position in the Department of Natural and Quantitative Sciences. Responsibilities include teaching up to 9 credit hours of undergraduate Computer Science per semester. As with all Holy Cross College personnel, faculty members share the responsibility of enhancing the Catholic, Holy Cross learning experience for all students.
Essential Job Duties:
- Teach courses in support of the B.S. in Computer Science, including data science, computer science theory and application, and programming in various languages. Must be able to teach a range of undergraduate CS courses, including introductory courses to non-majors and upper level major courses. Expertise in different topics is desirable including: Web Development, Software Engineering, System Operations, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
- Other responsibilities as may be assigned to meet the needs of the Department, and College.
Minimum Education, Skills, and Ability:
- Master’s in Computer Science, or a related discipline required.
- Previous college teaching experience preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
- Positive work experience in a Catholic college environment preferred.
