Duties
- Prepare a variety of fresh sandwiches, salads, and other menu items following company standards and food safety guidelines
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders efficiently, and upselling menu items to enhance their experience
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, food prep areas, and dining spaces in compliance with health regulations
- Manage food handling responsibilities including portion control, packaging, and ensuring food quality during preparation
- Assist with bussing and maintaining a tidy environment to ensure a welcoming atmosphere for all guests
- Handle cash transactions accurately, give correct change, and balance cash drawers at the end of shifts
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or food service is preferred; culinary or café experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is highly desirable
- Strong time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell and promote menu items confidently
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math proficiency
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a quick service or fast-food restaurant environment with a positive attitude
- Previous cashiering experience in retail or grocery store settings is beneficial
