We are hiring Cooks for the following positions:
We are hiring Cooks for the following positions:
- PM Cook Casual every other weekend and 1 day during the week.
- Pay starting at $16/hr and increases based on experience
- Benefits based on status of position hired for.
- Must be at least 18 years of age because of equipment used in this position (slicer, blender, etc.)
- Must have knowledge of basic principles of food production
- Must be physically able to waist lift a minimum of 50# and overhead lift a maximum of 25#, with frequent waist lifting and overhead lifting of objects up to 25#. Must be able to push and/pr pull objects with a maximum effort of 25#.
- Must be able to stand or walk for 6-8 hours in an 8 hour day.
- Must be able to frequently bend, squat and twist body during an 8 hour day.
- Must be able to attend mandatory all staff meetings and dietary department meetings.
- Must be able to read and write.
- Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
- May be subject to burns, cuts and scalds from equipment.
- May be subject to differing temperatures (freezer, refrigerator, oven temperatures).
- May be exposed to and work with chemicals.
- May be exposed, unexpectedly or on short notice, to tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids or mucous membranes.
- May be exposed to infections and odors.
- To prepare high quality, tasty foods in specified quantities.
- To serve meals at the stated times.
- To follow all menus, therapeutic diets and production sheets in the preparation of meals.
- To maintain orderliness in working area.
- To accurately weigh and measure food ingredients.
- To supervise dietary personnel working on your shift.
- To follow safety measures when using all equipment and appliances.
- To clean all equipment used in food preparation.
