Child Development Center (Brown House) Overview
The Child Development Center (CDC), also known as Brown House, provides a caring and nurturing environment for Holton-Arms faculty and staff children from infancy to preschool. The center is located in Brown House on the Holton-Arms campus and provides developmentally appropriate programs and activities that contribute to all aspects of a child's development. The Child Development Center provides services for up to 33 children and operates from August to June while school is in session.
Position Summary
The Holton-Arms School seeks a collaborative, flexible, and enthusiastic Childcare Teacher for the Child Development Center at Holton-Arms School. The Child Development Center exists to serve the families of faculty and staff of the Holton-Arms School. The Childcare Teacher works with the Director of the Child Development Center and other teachers to ensure the health and safety of all children in our care and to provide a happy, developmental experience for the children based on age-appropriate activities and experiences.
This position is full-time mid-August through mid-June, Monday through Friday. Hours are 7:30 AM to 4 PM. You must be eligible to work in the U.S. and able to pass a thorough background screening.
Essential Functions

Plan and deliver age-appropriate lesson plans using a curriculum provided by Holton Arms Child Development Center.

Maintain a safe environment where children can play and learn.

Work as team member both within your class and across classes with all staff to ensure all the needs of every child is met.

Ability to lift and carry a child who weighs up to about 40 pounds.
Qualifications and Experience

Thorough knowledge of Early Childhood Education and best practices in the field.

Excellent verbal communication. Ability to build a relationship with children and families.

A desire to make a difference in the lives of children daily.

Strong Organization skills.
Required Education and Experience

90-hour preschool course certification.

90-hour infant/toddler course certification.

First Aid and CPR or willingness to obtain.

Including All Children and the Americans with Disabilities Act certification or willingness to obtain.

Basic Health and Safety certification or willingness to obtain.

Supporting Breastfeeding in Child Care or willingness to obtain.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly wage range for this position is $40,500.00 - $50,000.00.
