HBI is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to join our underground utility construction team!

What You’ll Do
- Operate equipment such as backhoes, mini-excavators, trenchers, plows, and bore rigs
- Perform excavation, trenching, and cable placement per project plans
- Read blueprints and coordinate with the foreman
- Work safely around existing utilities
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Restore job sites and secure equipment daily
- Transport equipment when holding a valid CDL
- Travel to jobsites, including out of state
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of utility construction or related experience
- Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred (Medical Card required if applicable)
- Ability to read blueprints
- Strong communication skills and safety mindset
- Ability to work independently in changing job conditions
- Must be 18 years or older
