THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN  WEST SACRAMENTO CA.

POSITION SUMMARY

Assist the service department in the shop and yard.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monthly Safety Inspections
  1. Forklift inspections
  2. Shop safety inspection
  3. Eyewash station inspection
  4. Fire extinguisher inspections
  5. Lifting chain inspections
  6. Check expiration date on all certificates (air tanks, cranes, operating permits, etc.) and implements
• Inventory Control on Tool Room Daily:
  1. Clean and organize tools, supplies and tool room
  2. Check tools and supplies in and out
  3. Note and repair damaged tooling
  4. Provide a initial and updated tool inventory list
  5. Schedule tooling certification and calibration as required
• Contamination Control Duties Daily:
• CCC Inspections
• CCC projects as assigned including but not limited to:
• Cleaning oil spills
• Painting safety lines and areas
• Restocking CCC supplies
• Inspecting CCC clean room daily
• Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. 
• Ability to write simple correspondence. 
• Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide. 
• Ability to fulfill the essential functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
• Ability to perform these operations using weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Ability to apply to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral instructions. 
• Ability to problem solve involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school or GED and one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

COMPENSATION

Wage Range 20.91 Hourly

Wage depends on knowledge, skills and ability to perform the responsibilities of the job.
