Job Summary: The Operations Manager assists with the direction of all activities at a single Branch location. This includes performing all daily tasks needed to ensure a safety-first culture, expenses are controlled and a high standard of operational excellence is routinely achieved. Additionally this role with manage the Branch in the absence of the Branch Manager.

- Develops, evaluates, and influences effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS)
- Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
- Supports the successful management of branch operations and personnel
- Ensures ongoing compliance with all statutory DOT and safety requirements
- Performs dispatching duties (if needed) inspects Branch yard daily
- Supports the Branch Manager with the implementation of actions that achieve financial objectives
- Assists the Branch Manager in ensuring compliance with all company policies
- Responsible for performance management of staff, Inside Sales Reps, Drivers, and other staff as applicable
- Motivates, coaches, and successfully trains personnel
- Promotes a culture of safety and discipline through leadership, exemplary personal compliance, accountability and communication
- Maintains an open line of communication with the Branch Manager and Service Manager, making them aware of all equipment not available for rent
- Oversees team goals, making sure they are met/exceeded and compliance of company standards are kept through daily management
- Fosters a customer-focused approach to branch operations while ensuring the Branch Yard, facility and staff are professional and presentable
- Driven and results-oriented; business development and KPIs to meet corporate targets
- Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Strong technical aptitude and understanding of construction equipment and the rental industry
- Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Proficiency in MS Office, with an emphasis in Excel and Outlook, and the use of computer applications
- Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Great attention to detail and solid organizational skills

- This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc.
- This role frequently communicates with others and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines
- Must be able to move objects, and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
- Frequently moves materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
- Ascend/descend with gradual or continuous progress by oneself, using both hands and feet and climbing up and down the ladder
- Be able to safely maneuver and work underneath equipment
- Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work

- This job is generally performed in a professional office environment
- Occasionally works outdoors and may be exposed to weather extreme conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity
