Engine Rebuild Shop Service Technician
Holt CAT is the largest Caterpillar dealership of heavy equipment in the United States. We have a full-time, 1st shift Engine Technician - Shop position available at our Irving, Texas location. The hours of the position are Monday-Friday from 7 AM - 4 PM. Our address is 2001 N. Loop 12, Irving, Texas 75061.
Job Description:
This position is responsible for providing high-quality teardown, inspection, and repairs of diesel engines and natural gas engines in a shop environment, responding to customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner, and ensuring maximum value for work performed.
Qualifications:
- Perform complex repairs correctly such as teardown, inspection, repairs, test running, and/or painting of diesel and natural gas engines in a shop environment.
- Ability to be productive by working efficiently and effectively with a high energy level.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and able to work in a team atmosphere.
- Must have own tools.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have a steady employment history.
- Ability to frequently reach, bend, walk, etc.
- Must be able to lift 60lbs. approximately 15 times a day.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and results-oriented.
- Excellent attendance is required.
- Able to work overtime as needed to meet customer demand.
- Must have great leadership skills and be able to lead a team.
- Must have at least 2 years of verifiable related experience
Education
Preferred- Technical/other training or better in Diesel Mechanics
