Job Description:

Summary:
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist Supervisor will be responsible for the day to day operation of the Nuclear Medicine area. The Supervisor must demonstrate excellent technical skills as well as a desire for additional leadership / supervisory responsibility. The Supervisor will provide valuable input with regard to policy and procedure, hiring, teaching, orienting, coaching, remediation, discipline, and evaluating personnel performance. The supervisor will adhere to the SNMT Clinical Performance Standards for NM Technologists, to include the administration and monitoring of adjunctive medication(s) used during an in-vitro, diagnostic imaging, or therapeutic procedure. Adjunctive medications are defined as those medications used to evoke a specific physiological or biochemical response. Supervisor stablishes the call schedule and work routine that will best accomplish the maximum work flow and personnel utilization. May be required to take call as dictated by circumstance. Will be responsible for orientation and training of new employees. Will assure that all team members are kept abreast of current technology. In addition, the supervisor will be accountable for compliance with all pertinent TJC standards, ACR, local, state, and federal regulations. Continuing education and local society involvement is a high priority.

Requirements:
Two years experience as a registered/certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist is preferred. Technical experience and supervisory skill is necessary. Previous nuclear supervisory experience and training is preferred. The successful Nuclear Medicine Supervisor will need to attend the hospital Management Training course within the first eighteen months of employment.

Licenses and Certifications:
Valid and active ARRT-N or NMTCB certification
CPR required
