Product Manager – Automotive Aftermarket

Holstein Parts is a fast-growing automotive aftermarket supplier focused on delivering high-quality, application-specific components that solve real customer problems. We develop and support thousands of SKUs across multiple product categories through disciplined market analysis, technical research, and close collaboration with global manufacturing partners.
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Aftermarket Product Manager to take ownership of assigned product lines from opportunity identification through launch, catalog management, and lifecycle maintenance. This is a highly hands-on role for someone who understands the automotive aftermarket, enjoys working with large datasets and technical product information, and can identify profitable market opportunities through research and analysis.
This is not a software product management role. We are specifically seeking candidates with automotive aftermarket product line, category management, cataloging, or technical product experience.
Candidates must currently be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
What You’ll Do
Own Product Lines from Concept to Market
- Manage assigned aftermarket product categories through the full product lifecycle
- Identify new product opportunities using OE research, competitor analysis, market intelligence, and application coverage gaps
- Drive new product introductions from initial concept through sourcing, validation, launch, and ongoing maintenance
- Monitor product performance, sales trends, and market conditions to support profitable growth
Conduct Technical & Market Analysis
- Analyze OE and competitor catalogs to identify coverage gaps and expansion opportunities
- Research vehicle applications, interchange data, specifications, and technical requirements
- Perform pricing and market analysis to support strategic product decisions
- Evaluate competitive positioning and category trends within the automotive aftermarket
Manage Product & Catalog Data
- Maintain accurate product, interchange, sourcing, and application data
- Support ACES and PIES validation through technical research and data analysis
- Coordinate with Cataloging, Sales, Pricing, and Marketing teams to ensure accurate eCommerce and catalog representation
- Manage supersessions, obsolescence, and ongoing product maintenance activities
Support Product Development & Supply Chain Execution
- Develop product requirements and support RFQ activities with global suppliers
- Coordinate sample ordering, testing, evaluation, and tracking
- Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to resolve product issues and improve performance
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to product development and data accuracy
What We’re Looking For
Required Experience
- 3 years of experience in automotive aftermarket product management, category management, cataloging, or related technical automotive roles
- Strong understanding of automotive aftermarket products, applications, and product lifecycle management
- Experience working with automotive catalog data, interchange data, or ACES/PIES standards
- Experience analyzing large datasets and technical product information
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, lookups, filtering, and data analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience
- Experience with automotive sensors, ignition, engine management, undercar, or related categories
- Experience working with global suppliers and sourcing teams
- Experience with PIM, DAM, ERP, or catalog management systems
- Technical or engineering background
- Experience using VIO, market intelligence, or competitor catalog analysis tools
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Automotive Technology, or related field preferred.
Equivalent automotive aftermarket experience will also be considered.
