Veterinary Technician
Holmdel Veterinary Clinic – Holmdel, NJ
Pay: $24.00–$27.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our collaborative and supportive team. The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about patient care. A minimum of 3 years of veterinary technician experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with wellness, sick, and emergency visits; perform accurate triage and vital sign assessment
- Educate clients on patient care, treatments, and preventive medicine
- Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement
- Prepare patients and equipment for surgery; assist with procedures and anesthesia monitoring
- Conduct dental prophylaxis
- Operate Idexx in-house laboratory equipment and follow established protocols
- Administer vaccines in accordance with current guidelines
- Manage pharmacology, including heartworm and flea/tick prevention medications
- Perform and assist with digital radiography
- Utilize proper animal restraint techniques
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure a clean, organized work environment
- Provide friendly, professional client service and answer medical questions
- Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to remain efficient and calm under pressure
- Professional, dependable, and punctual
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Avimark preferred
Schedule
- Full-time or Part-time
- 8-hour shifts
- Day and evening shifts available
- Monday through Friday
- No weekends
