With kindness and integrity as our guide, we strive for excellence in every interaction.Requirements:You care.Position Summary:The Behavioral Coordinator, a Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT), is responsible for leading, implementing, and monitoring behavioral support services for residents with mental health or behavioral needs. This role coordinates individualized behavior plans, trains staff on therapeutic communication and crisis intervention approaches, and supports the care team to ensure safe, trauma-informed care.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Assesses behavioral presentations, identifies triggers, and supports behavior plan development.Develops and monitors Behavioral Care Plans and individualized approaches.Provides behavioral coaching and intervention during resident dysregulation.Trains staff in communication, de-escalation, and crisis prevention techniques.Responds to behavioral crises and leads post-incident debriefs.Collaborates with IDT, psychiatry, and social work regarding resident behavioral needs.Documents behavioral assessments, interventions, and resident responses.Qualifications:Active California Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) license.Current CPR/BLS certification.Experience with mental health or dementia care preferred.Core Competencies:Trauma-Informed Care • De-Escalation • Interdisciplinary Collaboration • Coaching & SupportPhysical & Working Conditions:Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist with resident mobility.Exposure to clinical and behavioral incidents; must use PPE.
