As the Engineering Specialist, You Will...
The Engineering Specialist position will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations, maintenance, and systems of the Engineering department for SoFi Stadium, YouTube Theater, and Hollywood Park. The position shall also provide expertise, guidance, collaboration, and support to other departments in the organization, tenants, and vendors throughout the property.
More Specific Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To…
- Assists with the execution of daily facility engineering tasks in a manner that ensures optimal service and cost efficiency.
- Oversees all waste removal operations for the Hollywood Park Campus, ensuring a clean, safe, and environmentally responsible facility.
- Tracking and managing utility usage and the development of sustainability initiatives.
- Responsible for coordinating all engineering activities at YouTube Theater, ensuring seamless facility operations, event support, and alignment with engineering standards.
- Long-Term budgeting and capital improvement/expense planning.
- Responsible for ordering, tracking, and managing all materials required for engineering operations, ensuring timely availability and accurate inventory control to support maintenance and project needs.
- Coordinates the daily operations and training of facility systems, including, but not limited to, the Building Management System (BMS), Lighting, Venue Management Software, and Radio Communications Software.
- Create Standard Operating Procedures and training programs to be utilized by internal departments and staff.
- Operates heavy equipment including, but not limited to, forklifts, pallet jacks (manual and motorized), boom lifts, scissor lifts, and reach forks.
- Provide excellent customer service to the Hollywood Park community across all venues within the Hollywood Park Campus.
- Support engineering department and overall operations during events across the campus.
- Perform additional actions and activities as requested.
We’d Love to Hear From People With…
- Valid Driver’s license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance management with increasing responsibilities
- Previous experience in event-related project sites, preferred.
- Experience with project management software, preferred.
- Knowledge of key facility systems including building management systems (BMS), and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), lighting, security, and fire alarm
- Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical plans, specifications, methods, and procedures
- Ability to use data and analytics to enhance efficiency
- Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Position requires walking and giving direction most of the working day; must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours in length.
- Must be able to walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill tasks.
- Must be able to exert a well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular and continuing basis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to adapt communication styles to suit different audiences and situations.

Compensation: $28.00 to $31.00 per hour

Hollywood Park considers a candidate’s education, certification, prior experience, as well as internal and external data when determining the salary level for potential new employees. Only in exceptional circumstances, if an external candidate has the experience, credentials, or expertise far exceeding what is expected for the position, would Hollywood Park consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
