Duties
- Coordinate between kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Verify that food items are prepared according to quality standards and presentation requirements
- Organize and prioritize orders to optimize flow during busy service periods
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding special requests, allergies, or modifications
- Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
- Ensure all dishes are correctly assembled, garnished, and accurately labeled before serving
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and maintaining a clean work environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant operations preferred
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with kitchen staff and servers
- Knowledge of food preparation, handling, and safety protocols
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple orders simultaneously
- Basic numeracy skills for order accuracy and timing coordination
- Experience with food expediting or culinary roles is highly desirable
