Job description:

Holly Street Day Care is seeking a caring, dependable, and experienced Toddler/Preschool Teacher to join our team. We are a well-established, family-focused center with a strong emphasis on child development, safety, and positive relationships.

The Toddler/Preschool Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 1 to 4 years. This role requires patience, strong communication skills, and a genuine love for working with young children.

Responsibilities Include:

• Creating a warm, safe, and engaging classroom environment
• Providing attentive care during feeding, diapering, and rest times
• Supporting children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth
• Maintaining proper supervision and name-to-face checks at all times
• Communicating effectively with families and staff
• Following all DHS licensing requirements and Holly Street policies
• Maintaining classroom cleanliness and organization
• Accurately completing required documentation using Procare. Staff will be trained how to use the app.

Schedule:

• Full-time or part-time available
• Monday–Friday (hours discussed during interview)

Qualifications:

• Experience working with toddlers/preschool
• High school diploma or GED (required)
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to meet Tennessee DHS childcare requirements
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Ability to lift, bend, and work actively with young children

Preferred (but not required):

• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework
• Previous licensed childcare center experience
