Shrink Tunnel Operator Position Summary
Holly’s Custom Print is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Shrink Tunnel Operator to join our production team. This position is responsible for verifying finished-product quality and quantities before packaging, feeding products through the shrink tunnel, maintaining shrink-wrap materials, and ensuring completed pallets are accurately labeled and prepared for shipment.
The Shrink Tunnel Operator serves as an important final quality checkpoint before products leave our facility. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, maintains reliable attendance, and can perform safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

Core ResponsibilitiesQuality and Count Verification
- Inspect finished products to confirm print quality meets job specifications.
- Verify package and product counts before items enter the shrink tunnel.
- Identify, remove, and properly separate defective or non-conforming products.
- Separate acceptable and non-conforming pallets when required.
- Immediately communicate quality, packaging, or count discrepancies to leadership.
- Serve as a final quality checkpoint before products are prepared for shipment.
Shrink Tunnel Operation
- Safely and efficiently feed finished products into the shrink tunnel.
- Monitor the wrapping process to ensure proper seals, tension, alignment, and overall presentation.
- Change shrink-wrap rolls as needed while maintaining proper loading, alignment, and tension.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of shrink-wrap feed or equipment issues.
- Notify leadership or maintenance when equipment concerns require additional support.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shrink-tunnel work area.
Material Handling and Shipping Preparation
- Safely operate an electric pallet jack to move skids to and from the shrink-tunnel area.
- Stage completed pallets in the appropriate location for shipment.
- Accurately apply product stickers, pallet labels, and skid tags according to job-ticket and customer requirements.
- Confirm that completed pallets are properly wrapped, labeled, and ready for shipment.
- Follow all company safety, quality, housekeeping, and production procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to read and accurately follow job tickets, packaging instructions, and labeling requirements.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
- Ability to maintain productivity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for changing shrink-wrap rolls and troubleshooting minor equipment issues.
- Experience operating an electric pallet jack is preferred; training and certification may be provided.
- Willingness to learn additional production responsibilities and grow within the company.
Physical Requirements
- Lift, carry, and move packages weighing approximately 20–50 pounds repetitively during an eight hour shift.
- Stand and remain on your feet for up to eight hours per shift.
- Perform repetitive lifting, stacking, reaching, feeding, labeling, and shrink-wrap changes.
- Safely push, pull, and maneuver pallets using an electric pallet jack.
- Work in a manufacturing environment while following all required safety procedures.
Shift Information:
Monday through Friday, 7:45AM to 4:30PM
